Jodrell Bank is an astronomical observatory built in 1945 in Lower Willington East Cheshire and is now part of Manchester University.
The main telescope is mounted in a 250' (76m) engineered frame construction, built to observe activities in the cosmos.
Myself, my partner, my Brother and Uncle are taking a motorbike ride to visit the site for the day.
I plan to capture the structure as well as some of the visitor attractions.
Using my mobile phone camera and my Olympus E-PL7 with 14 - 42mm and 90mm zoom lenses.
All shots will be hand held as I cannot get my tripod on the bike.
I plan to capture both outside and inside with outbuildings whilst keeping the main structure in shot.
There are also a number of other telescopes in the are worth visiting and photographing to add to the project on the main structure known as the Lovell Telescope.
There are a number of attractions within the main visitor building explaining the function of the telescope and the information it captures. I plan to capture these to add to the understanding of the telescope itself.
